Job Description:
Guest Relations upholds the HALL philosophy of quality, responsibility and exceptional customer service by working as part of a successful Visitor Center team. This role ensures a world class experience for winery guests by providing courteous service, accurate information and making appropriate recommendations to create a memorable experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Work closely with MOD to book public tours and maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and customer service. Booking and charging tours appropriately as to ensure a smooth flow throughout the day.
Inform visiting guests about variety of experiences available at the Visitor Center, and assisting them in making a choice that best suits their needs and desires.
Ensure that reservations are accurately recorded at the reception desk, in person, by telephone, and through the Cellar Pass and Salesforce systems for all HALL public tour programs.
Assist with inputting shipping orders, retrieving and properly recording wine pickups, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
Promote and sell the wine club, assist Wine Educators with wine sales and cash handling, focus on data capture.
Ability to work in multiple systems, and assist with customer service issues that may arise
Work with manager on ensuring merchandise in all areas is properly stocked and displayed
Maintain, update and expand knowledge of viticulture, enology and HALL by participating in related educational opportunities sponsored by the winery and outside sources.

Job Description:
The HALL Back Staff position is responsible for tour set up, break down, and assistance during tours. Tasks include setting tour tasting room, preparing food accompaniment, washing and polishing glassware, stocking wines, retrieving wine for pick-ups, and assisting as needed in the tasting room. Lifting is required for equipment and boxes of wines. This person must be a friendly team player, attentive to details and responsible.
Responsibilities Include:
Follow the directions of the HALL Management team to set-up, service and tear down tours and events.
Prepare food items, menus, glassware and all set up for public tours throughout the day
Cleaning prior to, during and following tours and events (includes kitchens, restrooms, outdoor seating areas, walkways, kitchens and offices.)
Wash and polish glassware, dishes and silverware.
Ensuring sufficient supplies (glasses, china, silver, linens, wines, etc.) are in place.
Ensure equipment is in good working order. Identify any equipment that needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced.
Ensure the safety of all employees and guests.
Handle additional responsibilities as required by management

Job Description:
Chef Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood has created The Charter Oak as a gathering place for members of our community.
Sommeliers at The Charter Oak will be responsible for serving guests and orchestrating the flow of dining room service. Successful members of the wine team will be polished, poised, comfortable having wine conversations of varying depths, all while balancing their floor and non-floor responsibilities. This position reports to the Head Sommerlier and the General Manager. Sommeliers at the Charter Oak must be capable of assisting Captains in curating each guest experience and managing a station of tables on the dining room floor. If the Head Sommelier is not working, the Sommeliers must be manage the day to day needs of the wine program (POS management, stocking, replenishing, updating staff, etc). Sommeliers are expected to assist with inventory at the close of each financial period as well as other upkeep and administrative tasks throughout the month. Our sommeliers are expected to be constantly growing, learning, and expanding their knowledge base. Finally, it is crucial that this position act as an ambassador to the Napa Valley community by building relationships with vendors, winemakers, industry professionals, and locals.
Sommelier Responsibilities: 90% Service / 10% Administrative
General Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Front of House, full-service dining room operations
Previous experience working as a floor sommelier, or retail wine sales, are encouraged but not required assuming you can provide adequate working knowledge of our wine list and basic food and wine pairing
Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or similar certification programs are encouraged, but not required
Must be able to demonstrate an extensive depth of knowledge on wine, specifically Napa, California, Burgundy, and other “classic” regions
Must be comfortable with basic financial calculations and controls including pricing wines correctly, conducting inventory, etc
Comfort and confidence speaking directly with individuals and leading group discussions
Approach service with an eye to detail and an always be improving mentality
Financials:
Have a sound understanding of how we price wines and how to effectively manage cost in a high volume restaurant
Assist in holding our team accountable for their average check and item sales goals
Assist in controlling inventory through pour size and responsible service guidelines
Administrative:
Assist with implementing wine training for new and existing staff members
Provide constructive input on the pairings, BTG, and bottle programs to best match menu offerings and price points
